Island Harvest Food Bank’s 26th Annual Taste of the Harvest Celebration will take place on Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at the Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury. This evening attracts more than 550 Long Islanders, and is one of Island Harvest’s major fundraising events of the year. As a restaurant known for your fine fare within the Long Island community, we would like to invite you to participate in this year’s celebration. This gourmet tasting event is a great opportunity to gain valuable exposure for your business while raising awareness about hunger on Long Island.
Island Harvest Food Bank, Long Island’s largest hunger-relief organization, provides food and non-food items to more than 300,000 Long Islanders who are living with food insecurity and in need, giving them a voice to help them transition from uncertainty to stability. Our mission is to end hunger and reduce food waste on Long Island, distributing over 11 million pounds of food and product every year.
This signature culinary event is successful because of the contributions of the extraordinary business owners, like you, who participate. By preparing specialties for guests to enjoy (we kindly request no desserts), you will be able to showcase what makes your restaurant exceptional. With a commitment to join us prior to August 30th, 2019, your restaurant will be listed on the invitation that is mailed to more than 5,000 Island Harvest supporters.
