In a year full of challenges the LIFC continued its mission to provide education and support to its members. The importance of pivoting to new ways of communicating, shared connections, providing supportive information was our goal. Our breath of industry experts went above and beyond to help with the challenges we faced.
Throughout the beginning of the pandemic, LIFC brought information from our partners; county executives, MTRC, Fuzehub, ESD, health and food safety experts, attorneys and accountants. Food and Beverage Safety was a top priority for companies trying to work through new regulations and protocols. The LIFC trusted advisors were available to our members which allowed them up to the minute information through virtual meetings and our website.
LIFC continues to meet the challenge of being a resource for our members. We established weekly roundtable sessions that provide networking, and open discussion. It is a chance for members to reconnect with each other and catch up in this virtual world. The format enables our participants to hear from an expert in their field and have an open question and answer session. Many have benefited through new relationships, new business and problem solving.
As we turn the page on this year and look forward to a fresh start the Long Island Food Council is working on new projects. We will be launching a job center where job seekers and employers will be able to post through our website. We are looking forward to 2021 and being back together in person with our educational series events. In July, we are looking forward to our Summer Celebration on the rooftop of Arizona beverages.
The Long Island Food Council would like to sincerely thank our Sponsors, Supporters and our members. We appreciate your continued involvement and friendship. The Council is a source to nurture and grow businesses on Long Island and we value your support.
Stay safe and healthy! Happy Holidays!
