Vegan Long Island’s mission is to help people across Long Island connect with resources that support vegan living. VLI hosts a large and active Facebook group (2000+) where members keep up with the latest developments in local dining and plant-based products.
Jennifer is executive director of Vegan Long Island and author of two food education curricula: a family and consumer sciences curriculum created for Coalition for Healthy School Food, and an online course called Demonstrating Our Values through Eating. She worked for Dr. Michael Greger in the early days of NutritionFacts.org, the leading noncommercial website for nutrition science. As a presenter for Beyond Carnism, she raises awareness about the socio-psychological factors that influence our food choices.
