New York requiring businesses to reduce in-person workforces by 75% and utilize telework

New York businesses not deemed “essential businesses or services” must reduce the in-person workforce at any work locations by 75% no later than March 20 at 8:00 p.m.

New York state legislature passed S8091/A10153, signed into law by Governor Cuomo.  The law provides unpaid and paid sick leave benefits to those employees subject to an order of quarantine or isolation due to COVID-19.  The law is limited to the COVID-19 illness and takes effect immediately.
